We spent around an hour playing on the rock columns and viewing the ocean. When we got to the causeway it was completely foggy. The locals said that the mist was unusual. Because it has been so warm, and not raining, they figure the fog was from that. At the beginning, we couldn't even see the ocean. By the time we left, the mist had cleared up and we could actually see the landforms and ocean around us.
The fog behind us was so thick you could barely see 50 ft
We had been looking for a beach with sand all day and didn't really find one, but we did find a small patch of lovely sand on the causeway which we took a few minutes to enjoy. We left the causeway and made our way to Belfast. It was supposed to be a little more than an hour drive, but we are so great at getting lost, so it took us a little more than two hours to finally get to Belfast. Thankfully a local saw us lost as can be and drove us to our hotel. We would have wasted another hour if we didn't have his help!
The only sandy beach we were able to find and walk on in Ireland (kinda tiny eh?)
We checked into our hotel and went to search for some food. We found a cute little pizza shop and bought a pizza. Eating dinner at 10 at night isn't always the best, but it was worth it. Tomorrow we head back to Dublin for some adventures. That will be fun!
