Halloween 2015

This year for Halloween we had a hoot. My family picked the theme of Toy Story for our costumes. It seriously was a blast. Our little family dressed up as Woody, (Paul) Bo Peep, (me) and Jace was my little sheep.

Paul's work had a fun little office trick-or-treating activity that we took Jace to. He LOVED trick-or-treating. Once he figured out that he would get candy for saying trick-or-treat he was all over it! There were only a few costumes that scared him and made him decide if the candy was worth the scary guy, but other than that he had so much fun! It was so fun to see the other little kids dressed up and see all the fun families that dressed up as well. Jace's costume was made with a million little cotton balls so you could tell pretty much everywhere he had been by following the little trail of cotton balls on the floor that he had either pulled off himself, or that had rubbed off or just fallen off. Paul's office also did an unofficial costume party and our family won the family costume prize. That was pretty neat for us.
We basically drove home from Paul's work party to go to our ward trunk or treat. It was really cold that night with a storm threatening to blow in. Jace definitely preferred the office trick-or-treating to the trunk or treating in the parking lot of the church. He still had fun, but his little hands and face were super cold most of the night.
Real Halloween day we went to my parents house for a halloween party. We had some yummy food and showed off all of our fun costumes. We played a few games, and we took the grandbabies out trick-or-treating. We mostly took them to all the people in the neighborhood that I wanted to visit with and say hi to. It was probably 10 or less houses, but it was the perfect amount for Jace and Gloria.

Mom and dad are Mr. and Mrs. Potatoe head. Kess dressed up as Barbie, Yulia didn't actually dress up, but she announced she was pregnant with a little boy. Tallus isn't pictured but he dressed up as an army dude, and Tanner is also not pictured but he was Rex, the T-Rex.

Just had to show off my cute parents. My mom did a crazy cute job on their costumes!!

Jace really didn't like wearing his costume. It was a PAIN to put on and a PAIN to take off and every time he had it on he was always picking off the cotton balls. By the time we were done with it there were huge spots that were missing fluffs.

Pumpkin Patch Adventures

This year while all of the boys were at priesthood session of conference, all of us girls took the kiddos to the pumpkin patch. My super talented sister in law Jessica brought her camera with her and snapped some pictures of everyone. I seriously can't believe how well they turned out. The lighting was perfect. Jace had a blast doing his thing, and hanging out with his older cousins. At this particular pumpkin patch they had a slide that you had to climb up a hay pyramid to get to. Jace Loved climbing up and sliding down. They also kind of had a petting zoo with some goats and stuff you could feed.

Jace working his way up the hay to get to the slide
At the top of the slide getting all ready to come down.

Could that seriously not have been a better picture? Lighting is great, Jace is actually smiling, and the background is just perfect!

He actually attempted to pet the goats.

The cute boy cousins all hanging out together. Jace really loves to play with Sage and Milo. He loves to hang out with the big kids and try to do what they are doing.

Just a fun picture that Jess was able to snap of us.

The lighting was getting dark around this time, but we coaxed another pumpkin patch goer to take our pictures for us. Amanda came, but she was in the car taking care of Ember.

This was Jace's pumpkin. Of all the pumpkins in the patch, this is the one that he picked out and liked the most.

This particular pumpkin patch had this awesome sandbox, only it wasn't filled with sand, it was filled with corn kernels! The boys had so much fun filling up the dump trucks and tractors that were in there. They also broke a lot of the rules that were posted, but we didn't see them until we were getting ready to leave. Ooops. Next year we will know better.

This pumpkin patch also had a fun little corn maze. We saved the corn maze for last and did it on our way out. We kind of  actually got lost in this corn maze and ended up out side of it before the end. I don't really know how that happened, but I think it has something to do with Sage (4) being the maze navigator.
